A Jazz Night Out

Annual African Landing Commemoration
August 23, 9:00-10:00 a.m. Fort Monroe Authority Continental Park, VA.
Join us to mark 406 years of African/African American presence in America. The William Tucker 1624 Society’s 2025 Keynote Speaker is Senator Mamie Locke, Virginia State Senate, District 23. Directly following, Project 1619, Inc. will host the 2nd part of the African Landing Day program 10 AM - 1 PM. Optional tour opportunities including the Tucker Family Cemetery will occur in the late afternoon.
